Revisiting the continuum reverberation lags in the AGN PKS 0558−504

We present a revised analysis of the photometric reverberation mapping campaign narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy PKS 0558-504 carried out with Swift Observatory during 2008--2010. Previously, Gliozzi et al.\ found using Discrete Correlation Function (DCF) method that short-wavelength continuum variations lagged behind at longer wavelengths, opposite trend expected for thermal reprocessing X-rays by accretion disc, and they interpreted their results as evidence against model. new DCF measurements demonstrate inverted lag-wavelength relationship resulted from having interchanged order driving responding light curves when measuring lags. To determine inter-band lags uncertainties more accurately, we four independent methods. These give consistent showing time delays increasing function wavelength, disc scenario. The slope re-analysed delay spectrum appears to be roughly compatible predicted $\tau \propto \lambda^{4/3}$ an optically thick geometrically thin although data points exhibit large scatter about fitted power-law trend.
